Screenshots give a good first impression about what the application
can do and whether it may serve your needs and be worth for you to
install. Here is the main window: .

User Manual
The application comes with an online user manual. Here you can
find a copy of the
manual
as of version 1.0 (it does not differ too much from the actual one
- the screenshot are taken from version 1.2).
ChangeLog
Version 1.4-0: (Released 2003-03-03)
- Features:
o Application's main window no longer automatically shows up
right after start! You need to click on the icon in the
system tray to make it visible!
o fli4l news automatically fetched when internet connection
is established - but only once a day.
o The information about the last phone call is now retrieved
cyclically. There is also a related entry in the server
options.
o Version of fli4l server is displayed together with hostname.
- Bugfixes:
o Settings are saved now if application is closed using
the windows manager's close button.
o If user and admin password are equal giving correct
password enters admin mode.
Version 1.3-0: (Released 2003-01-31)
- Features:
o Tab "News" introduced to fetch the latest news from the fli4l
website.
o Phone numbers are looked up in the KDE addressbook and
substituted with the real name in case an entry matches the
number.
- Bugfixes:
o "Addlink" action resurrected
o Authentication now checks whether password is empty if a
password is required. The reconnection problem in case of
entering the wrong password is also fixed.
o Authentication fixed in case user password is required
while admin password is not
Version 1.2-1.2: (Released 21. Jan. 2003)
- Bugfixes:
Authentication fixed in case no password is necessary for admin
mode
Version 1.2-1.1: (Released 14. Jan. 2003)
- Features:
o Ported to KDE3
o Introducing command line option for server name:
--servername <name>
At the very first start of the application a dialog is
presented that asks for the server name unless one is
provided on the command line. At any subsequent start this
command line option overrides the setting in the config
file.
o Introducing command line option for log file:
--log
Enables logging to stdout. (Buffered)
--logfile <filename>
If given logging goes to the respective file. (Unbuffered)
Please keep in mind that logging is appended to that file.
Make sure it does not devour your disk!
o Introducing authentication.
The password is entered in the settings dialog.
In case an admin password is required while a user password
is not required the password is regarded to be the one
for the administrator!
o Display of authentication level in status bar.
Changing the authentication level is done by entering
the password for the respective level (admin or user).
o PPPOE support
This feature has been blindly hacked into the code (I do
not have a DSL line). So please give it a test and report
your experience to me.
- Bugfixes:
o Under KDE3 an endless loop occurred if the close button was
pressed
Version 1.1: (Released May 2002)
